Writer of lyrics and musings
I cherish love notes; especially the ones that I forget about until I stumble upon them years later. And I find them at the most inopportune times, such as when I am rushing because I am late for an appointment or in the midst of packing to move, The timing is bad because when I find the note, I not only read it several times but I mentally travel back down memory lane…. not good for my appointment or packing schedule….
Recently, I found a note from my mom while moving from Illinois to Texas. My mother was not very affectionate, verbally or physically. She would hug me or say, “I love you too” if I initiated, but leading in the emotional space was just not her thing. So, I especially treasure notes from her so I sat down to read and wept as I thought about her short life. I wished that I had known her better, but she was so guarded and concerned about appearances that I never learned her true self….and I am not sure she ever learned this about herself either. My mom is one of the reasons that I am an advocate for coaching, mentoring, and THERAPY. We were never meant to do life alone, and there are many who are trained to help us along our journey. I write about my experiences in musings.
Do you realize we have 66 love notes? God’s love is demonstrated in each book–it all started with love and it ends in love. And yes, I weep as I read His love letters too.
The lyrics that I write and the musings that I share will, primarily, be something that I read while studying one of His love notes.
And I pray that you, too, will fall in love with the one who loves us best!
